Trade-In Policy

Because good books deserve more than one good home.

At Whistler’s Daughter, we believe stories are meant to be shared — and sometimes, passed along. If you’ve finished a book you bought from us and it’s still in excellent condition, we’ll happily welcome it back and give you store credit toward your next find.

Trade-In Policy

  1. Sign up for our Book Lover Rewards program.
    Books must be purchased through your loyalty account to be eligible for trade-ins. Ask a staff member to sign you up!

  2. Bring it back within 365 days.
    We accept books purchased from Whistler’s Daughter (through your account) within the past year.

  3. Make sure it’s in excellent shape.
    To qualify, the book must be in Excellent Condition, meaning:
    - No writing, highlighting, or torn pages
    - No stains, odors, or water damage
    - No cracked/broken spines, or bent covers/corners
    Basically: it looks nearly new, ready for its next reader

  4. Get store credit.
    For each eligible book, you’ll receive 25% of its original retail price as store credit, added to your account for a future purchase.

  5. Use your credit anytime.
    Credits can be used on any in-store purchase — books, gifts, or otherwise. (Sorry, not valid for cash, gift cards, or event tickets.)

A Few Gentle Rules

  • We only accept books originally purchased from Whistler’s Daughter through your free Book Lover Rewards loyalty account.

  • We reserve the right to decline any trade-in that doesn’t meet condition standards.

  • Store credit is issued at the time of trade-in and expires in 365 days.

  • Trade-in books may be resold as part of our gently used or discounted collection.

You read it. You loved it. You brought it back.

We’ll thank you with credit toward your next great read.
